palomino gelding

2017 Palomino 1/4 Thoroughbred, 3/4 Quarter Horse gelding

DOB vet estimated April 1, 2017

Currently 14.2+ hands, and string tests to 15.2 hands at maturity. Lightly broke to saddle, he has 3 big steady gaits. He had 2 weeks training with eventing coach Debbie Iezzi Snyder at Stone Place Stables. Willing and easy at everything he is asked to do. He LOVES his belly scratched and ears rubbed, he makes funny faces of joy! He is so much fun to be around!

He was purchased on the side of his dam by a broker at Kaufman horse sales and sent to Indiana for a secure start at life. He originally was foaled in Texas and purchased with his mother at an auction there for resale by Kaufman. It was said his mother Zephyr is a Hancock bred Quarter Horse. His father is an appendix Quarter Horse. His registration information was never obtained or sent with them to auction.

He has a hind sock, blaze and side of the nose snip, and lower lip white. He is a kind fellow with an old soul. He's extremely confident, brave and trusting. He has lovely movement to go with his good looks, nice conformation, fantastic color, chrome and an excellent mind! He will likely be a perfect adult amateur horse for eventing, dressage or fox hunting down the road. We're excited to watch him come along!

Before bringing him back to the farm to grow, we trailered up the road for a little exposure to showing, and he finished 3rd in his first horse show! It was the Flying Cross Farm mini baby starter horse trial. He was perfect, calm and easy the whole day!
